Sometimes,i come across my old diaries...full of my writings,including poems,songs,stories written by me,some chatterbox,my mind goes back to the olden days..when mere looking at the sky and watching the horizon for hours together, used to be a great pastime for me.Plenty of lines used to crowd in my mind..unknown tunes inside my mind used to make me sink into an oblivion...I was easily transformed with the identity of the Eagle soaring high ...the clouds passing by...The air touching my skin,used to whisper,..”can you tell me..from where are we coming? Over the deep sea and ocean,crossing high mountains..we came to touch you..”I said the “hello...thank you “ and remained grateful...While lying on my back on the roof top in a summer night...watching crores of sparkling tiny lights on the dark nights cover on the sky,my body felt lighter and lighter ..as if floating just beneath the sky...I know things have changed,situations have changed, my age is taking me ahead through time...but I am certain,those days will come back soon,...very soon,when I will be able to touch and feel my childhood once again...

I didn't opt for name ,fame,or money.....I opted for salvation....

Through music...

I do not even care,how I will be remembered ..no I don't.

Modern e-appliances might have been invented to be used for some professional purpose,but in India,or more specifically,Kolkata,where I live,it is usually used for entertainment..Such as,..whatssapp...designed to transfer documents,files quickly,is mainly used for chatting...

Merukhand is a uniquel style in Hindustani classical music involving permutations of a fixed set of swaras or notes (meru, axis or skeleton) broken up in various ways (khand, fragment), while retaining the proper emphasis on various notes as required by the raga.We have learnt it as MEER KHAND taans....

Merukhand techniques were developed within the Bhendibazar gharana and were popularized by masters like Aman Ali Khan and Abdul Waheed Khan. In the mid-1950s, they were adopted by the eclectic Amir Khan in his own badhat (progression), although he did not use pure merukhand but inserted merukhandi passages into his performance. His disciple Thomas Ross says of this permutational style that

improvisational forays treating merely three or four notes may occupy twenty minutes or more.[1]
Merukhand is now a part of the improvisational strategy within the Indore gharana founded by Amir Khan[2]

"Merukhand" Gayaki In Music Practice Merukhand Gayaki plays a vital role in the frequent practices and even in the performances. Ustad Amir Khan Saheb's Gayaki is always associated with merukhand style, because he often created the raga progressions through this technique, during his recitals, which is why his vocalization was unique and mesmerizing.

In merukhand, 3 or 4 notes patterns are selected and all the possible combinations and patterns are rendered while practices. Merukhand technique works well in enhancing creativity of a singer and in improving the vocalization of jumped notes as well.

To illustrate the merukhand style, let's select 4-note swar pattern initially:

Now we will create all the possible pattern, taking only these notes, without repeating any swaras:

Furthermore, "Pa Dha Ni Sa", "Re Ga Ma Pa" etc. note series also makes 24 possible improvisational patterns. We can see that numerous swar-patterns can be created twisting only four notes.

Specific notes of the ragas can also be practiced for hours, as it keeps the brain engaged in creating phrases. Often, we come to miss some of the patterns. But this is beneficial exercise for amateurs and professionals too. We can take the same pattern to make the Bhairav notes, making Re Komal (flat): Sa Re Ga Ma OR Kafi notes: Sa Re Ga Ma (Ga Komal). , OR Yaman notes: Ni Re Ga Ma (Ma teevra or sharp).

Now we will create the merukhand pattern taking five notes, of Bhoopali raga: S R G P Dh

There are so many other patterns,too.. The idea is that merukhand requires a lot of thinkable and creative brain. As the same time, it takes hours to vocalize each pattern separately with accuracy. For example: SPRDG i.e., Sa-Pa-Re-Dh-Ga pattern looks simple 5 notes, but all these skipped notes might make one crazy during unfolding these tunes.
Initially, merukhand technique requires perseverance, patience and practice, but at last, one can easily be pertinent in improvising the ragas, even in the advanced level. One can attain unhesitating command on rendering taans with absolute variety and fluency,Stylisation comes after mastering this.

Every body seems to be running..don't really know behind what,or to get what..None is really sure what to achieve,and why...Though,apparently,a person looks like relaxing,the one is not.His/her brain is constantly active,there is little space in the brain for rest and respite...
For classical music,it takes years to learn how to listen and what to listen...I may cite an example.One day,i tried to listen a piece of my Ustad,or i tried to look attentive...After the small piece,my ustad asked me to mention the last note where the music ended...My answer was not correct,because that particular note was so faded..almost silent..
My preceptor said,unless i could silence my brain and my mind,it won't reach my ears.. It was so true and correct..We had to practice taking lessons deep at midnight so as to understand the notes and their precision...It is kind of meditation,dhyan...

There was no stopping since life has started....always growing and moving farther...No looking back...Think about evolution.from amoeba to todays human form...there was  a continuous process of progress..

Then,what happened after the human race came into existence??? Has the process of evolution stopped to work???

exist.The whole family was a victim of the same disease,as it is apprehended. 

The mother died,then two pet dogs died,then the grief stricken elder sister died  

of self desired starvation,then the father committed suicide,and the youngest 

son started living with the skeletons of the dead...,all as per the statement of  

the only living member.the youngest son of the family,..It may be a concocted 

story,or it may be real.But,undoubtedly,a shocking one.A link with Math 

Mission is also found,where so called TANTRA saadhana was being taught to 

the family...

Any way...i do not think we should remain obsessed with such heinous 

things..There are so many good news as well,which the media do not think to 

be worth earning for...

A flower is ,off course,beautiful..Some one said it once again,and a beautiful thought peeped into my mind..a  wry smile played over my lips..The word-- FLOWER..showed herself in a different way..and asked me..how does she look..she said..I am FLOW-ER..Beauty FLOWs from me...and so,I am flower..
But if it can be construed in this way..what about SHOWER????

I have willfully chosen to remain a little secluded..a little hidden..A lot of people in the name of friends may just become a crowd..  Friends must be those,who understand me,and of course,whom I also find no difficulty to understand...  A lot of celebrations does not really mean anything..It is so superfluous ,so void of feelings and warmth..I have seen and experienced such meetings,celebrations,with lot of hue and cry..and tried my best to collect some real tangible assets which I could keep in the deepest corner of my heart. But alas,

Friends means a lot to me..I can not recall any of my friends' name with whom I have a permanent hitch or break up. By the grace of Almighty,each one of them came and contributed in my life and I am greatly indebted to them.Some of them had departed this world,leaving indelible loving memories..I honestly feel,and believe that God had sent those angels in my life to improve myself,and indeed,their actions,character and noble thoughts helped improve myself a lot. They cheered me up..inspired me..even shouted at me to perform and persue my goal...

Friends--- also include my parents,and of course my preceptor,my Guruji..Its not that my parents never scolded or admonished me,punished me,but,whenever I could come up to their expectations,or at least a bit near to that,they had given me the honour to become their friend...and a friend ,to the real meaning of it.

Real education..the education which helps becoming a human , seems to be lacking in our country... What prompts you to commit a brutal rape?? Because you are sure that you can not get the girl by what you have.Your health,your looks,your achievements,your qualities can not attract the girl and you apply force to get her..  Even when a girl refuses you, you are angry and apply brutal force or your animal instinct to punish her.. You are not strong enough,bold enough to accept your failure to win her heart..You are not even strong enough to forgive yourself..Only cowards do apply brutal force in any form in any place whatsoever..

Man..can't you love?? Learn to love ,please..learn to love ..it needs more strength to love and create than to hate and destroy...

Punishments does not solve it permanently. Life imprisonment is always better than capital punishment.. Let an offender have enough time to recapitulate what he has done and realize.. Let him transcend to a new and better human..

It is amaging to see that the preachings of Swami Vivekanand, or other great people of India seems to be not reaching to these people.. We need people of character and ideals who can motivate the commoners from doing some better things.. Today most of us are running only after name fame and money,overlooking some elementary things and overlooking the future of our next generation.

Politics-- dirty polluted tricks and nothing more is our agenda... Should this be our only goal? What our leaders are saying??

It is wise to listen to every body's advice...but it is wiser to listen to your own...

Problems and challenges are just to test yourself,they come to you to help you....If you don't want , they will never come to you.because we only have those things which we want and deserve...Even our life is also from a desire to be born...There are so many persons living an easy life, without facing much challenges or problems...but they face one sided life...they will remain unchallenged ,and unestimated to themselves...This whole life is for you only..Choice is also yours....
The main job that has been assigned to us by God,is, to rectify ourselves and be a complete man....You have to come again and again..you leave the job unfinished...and leave the world unaware ....

I was born with certain qualities, good,or bad....But certainly i won't not want to die with them....
